"Do you dream
of chilling out in your
own
glorious garden
bursting with
colour and
fragrance?"
Learn how to turn
your garden:
From this
Into this

Or from this Into this

Dear Fellow
Gardener
In today's stressful
world, to have your own user friendly garden in which to relax and
unwind is a dream that many people share. To be able to put your feet up at the end
of a long, exhausting day with a cooling drink or simply to spend time
playing with the children in your own private plot brings balance
into your life.
Written by a
gardening enthusiast for other gardening enthusiasts, this e-book
will show you how to create your very own dream garden,
an oasis of
colour and fragrance where you can retreat to shake off the worries
of the world in your own bit of paradise.
The prospect of the
work involved in maintaining such a space often puts people off,
believing, quite wrongly, that they do not have
either the time or the energy to tackle such a project. In recent years I have
created two totally different gardens from scratch, - and I do mean
from scratch! Drawing on the experience I have acquired from
these gardens comes the e-book:
"How to Create a Low Maintenance Garden"
What I have achieved
in my gardens can be achieved by
anyone.
As with many things in life it is just a question of having a
clear vision and a clear plan of action. Whether you are in the same
situation of starting a garden from nothing, as I was, or are wanting
to redesign and redevelop an existing plot, then this book will guide
you through the process which I have used successfully for both my
gardens.
Do you have a
boring rectangle of grass with a clothes-line down the middle? Or is
your garden an overgrown tangle of weeds surrounding a few ancient
shrubs? Do you have a vision of a garden which, effectively, adds
another room to your home in the summer months? Have you just moved
into a brand new house with a patch of 'prairie' at the back?
If your answer to any
of these questions is "Yes",
then this
book was written for you!
Our last two house
moves were into brand new properties presenting me each time with a patch of
bare, weed-covered earth to tackle. Both houses were modern
town houses so neither plot was especially large, very much the size
that many town-dwellers today are faced with. Whatever the size of
plot you have to work with, large or small, the basic approach to
planning and preparation will be the same.
I am not a
professional gardener, I am a musician, but over these recent years
gardening has become my great passion; - my escape from a very hectic
professional life providing me with exercise, fresh air, relaxation
and ultimately a superb environment in which to chill out and spend free time with
the family. If I can find the time and the energy to develop these
gardens - then so can you!
In
this e-book I will pass on my experience of creating and maintaining
these two gardens. The text is richly illustrated with photographs
taken in both gardens showing early development to the completed
plots. The two gardens were very different in style and character and
between them presented me with almost every conceivable situation that
you are likely to meet. Through the pages of my book I will guide you
through the process of planning, preparing, constructing and planting.
The experience and knowledge which I have gained and put into this
book will take you
through all the steps needed to create your own bit of paradise.
Now, in early Autumn, is
the perfect time of year to start work on a project such as this.
As your plot begins to prepare for its winter sleep, much can be
achieved before the winter really sets in. By beginning the work now
and continuing in the early spring you could be enjoying the fruits of your labours when the sun starts to
shine early next summer!
I have also included
in the book a comprehensive list of flowers and plants which I have
found particularly valuable in my gardens.
The emphasis in a low
maintenance garden is on plants which will tend to look after
themselves for much of the time. This inevitably means that small
trees, shrubs, perennials, climbers and bulbs play a large part in
the planting scheme. Fussy plants of one kind or another are of
little
use if you don't have the time and/or energy to cosset them.
